An AI chat app where the characters go first

In Just Texted, the characters start the chat. You match with someone, and their first message is already there, so you reply instead of trying to think of an opening line. Every character is AI, and every chat says so, with a clear AI notice in each thread. Just Texted has 84 characters, women and men, across many personalities and genres, so there is always someone whose style you want to answer. It reads like a texting thread because that is what it is. Short messages, back and forth, at whatever pace you like.

How the chat works

You start on a swipe deck, browsing faces and picking the ones you want to hear from. When you match, the thread opens with the character's first text to you. From there you answer when you feel like it, leave the thread, and return to it later. Each character holds a steady personality, so the chat stays in character between messages rather than resetting every time. You can see all of this in a minute. Start chatting, match with a character, and let the first message come to you.

Free to chat, with paid extras

Swiping, matching and chatting are free, up to a daily limit. You can meet characters and run real threads without paying. A few things are paid. Hearing a character's voice note is one. Unlocking a photo they send is another. VIP plans give more room for those who want it. Every price and what renews is on the pricing page, written plainly, so nothing catches you out later. Just Texted opens on the web and on your phone, with the same cast on both. Check the pricing page when you want the detail, then open the deck and start chatting.
