A Janitor AI alternative that opens on your phone
Yes, Just Texted is a solid Janitor AI alternative: an AI companion app where 84 characters text you first, free to swipe and chat on web and phone.
Why look for a Janitor AI alternative
Janitor AI is a popular AI character chat site. If you want an alternative, Just Texted is an AI companion app built around one simple feeling: a message from someone who wanted to talk to you. Just Texted has 84 characters, men and women across many personalities and genres. They text you first. You open the app and a message is already waiting, so there is no empty screen and no first move to make. You just reply, and the thread grows like any other text conversation on your phone. It stays honest the whole way. Every character is AI, and every chat says so with a clear AI notice, so you always know you are talking with an AI companion and can settle into the conversation without second guessing.
Swipe, match, and start texting
Meeting a character starts with a swipe. Like the ones you are drawn to, pass on the rest, and match to open a thread. Swiping, matching and chatting are free, up to a daily limit, so you can meet a handful of characters and keep the ones you enjoy. The conversations feel like normal texting, short messages going back and forth at a pace you set. With 84 characters across many genres and personalities, you can find someone funny, someone warm, someone flirty but always SFW, or someone who just listens. The point is not a setup page or a long form to fill in. The point is a thread that already has a message in it, waiting for your reply.
Works on web and phone, free to begin
Just Texted opens on web and on your phone, and your threads follow you on both. Start in a browser on your laptop, then carry on from your phone later, with the same conversation waiting for you. The core is free. The paid extras are hearing a character's voice note, unlocking a photo a character sends you, and VIP plans. Every price and what renews is on the pricing page, written plainly, so you always know before you decide. Want to see how a Janitor AI alternative feels?
