A Replika alternative that reaches out first
Replika is a well-known AI companion app. If you are looking for an alternative, Just Texted is an AI companion app where the characters start the conversation. Just Texted has 84 characters, men and women across many personalities and genres. They text you first, so there is always someone who has reached out. You open the app, find a message waiting, and reply like you would to anyone else, and the thread grows from there. The app is honest about what it is. Every character is AI, and every chat says so with a clear AI notice. You always know you are texting an AI companion, which makes it easy to relax and enjoy the back and forth.
Meet characters by swiping
You find characters by swiping. Like the ones you want to talk to, pass on the ones you do not, and match to open a thread. Swiping, matching and chatting are free, up to a daily limit, so you can meet several characters and settle in with the ones you enjoy most. The texting feels like your normal messages, short and steady, at a pace you set. With 84 characters across many genres and personalities, there is usually someone whose voice fits the day you are having, whether you want someone cheerful, someone calm, or someone who simply checks in. Just Texted opens on web and on your phone, and your conversations follow you across both, so checking in takes only a moment wherever you are.
Free to chat, with paid extras
Chatting is free up to a daily limit, and so are swiping and matching, which is enough to see whether the app is for you. The paid extras are hearing a character's voice note, unlocking a photo a character sends you, and VIP plans. Every price and what renews is on the pricing page, so you always know what you are paying for before you decide. Looking for a Replika alternative?
